Wondering about technology integration

A concern I have is having a section dedicated to integration. Shouldn't it just naturally flow into the other strands? Sometimes when we separate it, we give the impression that it's an extra. Having said that, I realize sometimes we have to be explicit in order for teachers to understand. Just food for thought. Do you find this valuable?

This is how I feel about the arts being 'integrated' also. I do think for the time being it needs to be separated to bring awareness on how to use technology in the classroom. Some teachers need clear tools to use to be able to start feeling comfortable using 'new' things in their classrooms. I may however change Technology Integration to be a sub category of each of the Arts areas instead of its own category.
